Three Praises!
Three Praises!

(Psalms 136:1 November 21st 2003)

Long or short, the last three years I look back, and the only thing I can say is “thank you”.
Every year during Thanksgiving season, I would collect my thoughts and would write a single poem to summarize the season. I would like to share with my other coworkers here.

In This Autumn

Lord!
Let it reach the heavens above
Let the world know of the overflowing love.
I give you all that I have in thanks
I dedicate with all my might.

Lord,
Let me put my hand together in prayer,
This Autumn,
Lord!
This Autumn, let the voices of the Heavens be heard
The shouting of joy to be spread out all over
Let me be awaken at all times to meditate in depth
Let me be immersed into the bright colors

Lord!
This Autumn, let me remember those in need
Let me repent of my selfishness
Let me see the leaves fall from the trees
Let me be able to share with others
Lord,
Let me be shaped like you more and more this Autumn.

For the past 3 years, it had been a huge period of learning. I had learned from serving a single church to multitudes of churches within the denomination, and to help and serving their pastors, learning to be the superintendant and managing, and to increase the relations between my co-workers. I give thanks to the Lord that I was chosen despite my lack of skills, and the patience of my fellow co-workers.
There were changes within my family as well. Both of my children got married during my time as the superintendant. They are both very healthy and in joy in the Lord. My wife, who had been suffering from illness, also got better after I had finished the district annual conference. I give thank to all other co-workers who had given me love and cooperation on everything that went on.
I give also thanks to those involved during the extended education for pastor’s meeting, and lastly I cannot ever forget of the smoothness on how well the denomination had expanded upon missionaries and helping with funding the “Great Commissioning Fund”.
People always regret three things during their final moments in life.
“Why did I not serve more?” “Why was I not more happy?” and finally “Why did I not have bit more patience?” The last 3 years, I did have some remorse of those 3. As I move on with the gospel, I want to work more raising workers of God, and not live without regrets and have more fruits of my labor. I give thanks to God and all those around me who had helped again and again in my ministry to grow.
Dear co-workers I cannot thank everyone individually, but please understand of the gratitude I have.
“Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever”
