Like the debtor

Financial specialists have recently seen that there were more cases of dishonesty happening, when the culture depended all on one’s credibility. Fairly well known companies like Meryl Lynch and 10 other finance companies were put under intense scrutiny. George Boyd III of Weiss, Peck & Greer had warned that; “If the Wall Street’s credibility collapse, it can cause the United States’ entire economy to suffer when it barely had recovered from the Recession.”

This shows how the financial advisers taking advantage and being interested only in the company’s finance as well can cause a severe aftermath behind.
There are sometimes rarely of stories to be inspirational with all the surrounding scandals going around the world.
There was a man charged with arson and left to his wife, Mrs. Gan Nan Yong. She had worked for 20 years to pay off the fine of 1,300,000Won (about $1,300 US Dollars). Also in the 1960s, there was an elderly man named Il Gam Chang who sold imported market items, and had borrowed from his neighbor shop keeper 230,000Hwan (23,000Won in current estimate or $230 US Dollars) and after 42 years, he was able to pay his debt to neighbor’s son 500,000,000Won (About $5,000 US Dollars). About two years ago, he was so sick that he nearly died, he was about to leave a will of paying off the debt, but once he was better, he had put his words into action.
One of the deaconesses I know well came back from England with a flushed face and told me of a touching story. Her friend runs a souvenir shop in London. One day, one of the employees had come to the friend and confessed that he had stolen many of the merchandise. After converting to Christianity, the employee had deep regrets and had come back to pay for all the items he had stolen. It was a fruit of repentance from his past action. All those who heard the story along with me were all touched.
The old lady and the man who had paid back their debts and the story of the employee’s confession do not make us feel well because of the amount of the money involved. It is because as a human being, being able to repay the debt and regretting of the past acts from believing and seeing it fruit in their repentances. It is because their obligation to complete the task of paying their debts back. All three of them had the common pain of either choosing to pay the debt off or not. The pain of paying her husband’s debt, having to end their life as a liar and the burden of it, and finally, having to live with a life of carrying the burden of having stolen merchandise.
The English word Responsibility comes with its root of “Response” and “Ability” – the word literally meaning to not abandon their mission from circumstances. A person with great responsibility has all their prides gathered in one place, having reposed their truthfulness, love of their neighbor and their own life’s meaning.
We as workers of God hope to warm other’s hearts and feelings. It is time that we would take even the smallest of works to have a feeling of what it is to be in debt with God. How did Apostle Paul inspire so many people for a legacy of his life time? In Romans 1:14 he writes:

‘…I am under obligation both to Greeks and to barbarians, both to the wise and to the foolish…”
He had worked because God had saved him and now wanted to pay the debt by spreading the Gospel far and wide.
