I needed more patience to finish all that was needed to be admitted to the senior apartment. Either I had to called the Social Security Administration or bring the required files to the administrator. This was because all the social security income would come back to us, about 1/3rd of what was returned would be used to pay for the senior apartment fees. This was so that they would know what our exact financial budget was. Of course, 6 months worth of statements would be required also. Retirement fees, and also life insurance, anything involving money was all checked. I don’t remember when, but I never fancied going to DMV or any public offices, (I think it’s because they weren’t the kindest people working there) however I didn’t want to miss my chance to get into the senior apartment, so I went there to make all the necessary files.
I met the appointed person to receive my key on the 1st of March.

She was a very kind woman. The lady who originally had our files quit the job and this new lady was in her place instead. She was very simple yet kind. She spent about 40 minutes with us to read the manual of the senior apartment. She was very loyal to her job. After, she led us to our new studio. It was room number 7 on the 5th floor. I was surprised when she opened the door and went in with her. Because my daughter’s house was somewhat large so I lived comfortably, but this room looked rather small. But when she opened the curtain, all walls that were made of window to the outside made the room much larger looking. She showed me what chemicals not to use in the bathroom, stove, refrigerator, room temperature system, and led me to the laundry and told me which type of bleach was not allowed, then to the trash disposal. She was doing her best in her given duty. She was never sloppy and skipped over items.

The dimension of this studio is 31feet by 12 feet, or 372 square feet. From the corridor, a closet can be opened to store clothing, and bathroom with shower and toilet. There is a stove and fridge to the wall. The bathroom and kitchen covers about half of the room. A table was set up next to the kitchen, and after a large step, bed. But this is a very well built place. There is several alarm system to make the place feel secure. Carpets and the curtains are all brand new. The bathroom is also cleaned to greet the new owners.

After the employee left we prayed in thanks to the Lord that we received a new place, and to have a place to open up a new chapter in our life. Jesus had nowhere to put his head down, how can I not thank God that he provides when I feel inadequate showing his glory as Jesus did?
Somehow I feel like this place would be our final place to live. I had committed myself to live my final breathe purposefully. Every room has name plates on the wall. It was strange to see that a name plate of “Lee” would be placed over the former tenant’s name. I have never owned a house in my life. I have done my duty as a pastor, but never owned a house. So I would never have had a name plate for our place. But I am happy to see that my name would be placed in the wall. I plan to take a commemorative picture when it is ready.
