As Mr. John Jerome had said, a few days after the last talk the new insurance information booklet from the Santa Clara County Health Services along with another letter from Kaiser that my insurance from them was over.
On the 16th of September I went to the office as appointment had set at 1:30PM to meet Mr. John Jerome again. Since my wife did not have to come with me this time, I went to office to work then headed straight there. Mr. Jerome had come to the lobby around 12 O’clock noon, then invited me to his office.
Last night, I had taken a careful look at all the bank documents I had and took a look at what Kaiser had deducted off my SSA monthly as evidence. After he had taken look at my finance monthly by monthly, he put it into his computer to organize. After he said he would copy the insurance card along with all the files I had gathered. Mr. Jerome also said that he will send a letter to Santa Clara Health Care Services to solve the problem with Kaiser about the deductions.
While he was making the files for my wife and I, he made two separate copies – one for myself and another for my wife. Mr. Jerome was very meticulous with his work and it was evident as he was working on the computer. After completing the files, he had checked once again to make sure everything was there as needed. But that’s not all.
Mr. Jerome kindly showed me the files he had prepared along with the letter that was written to be edited anywhere. It is not because he can’t do English proper, but to make sure that I had written explained in detail of my current situation. After reading it thoroughly, he had gladly changed out any repeated things, or anything that needed strengthening or removing. I know of my English skills.”As you live in the United States, not only is your English speaking skills falter, but of Korean as well.” Someone who I knew well said that and I know that was my situation. It’s not like I had done well in the past and now is faltering, rather it was the lack of. But since this was my finance, I had tried as best as I could.
After gladly fixing my mistakes, he gave me a copy to keep, one for recording’s sake and the original to be sent to the Health Care Services, it has been more than two and half hours. But at least thanks to his efforts the meeting was shortened by 30 minutes. While watching him prepare my files, I wanted to sneeze a lot for some reason, so I had asked for water. He had stopped his work and led me to the cafeteria and offered me cold water. His consideration to others is deep so I had thanked him.
After I had been admitted to the new insurance, he wanted me to choose a new main doctor. The booklet that had the entire doctor’s listing was so much that he offered to copy them and send them another time in mail. Mr. Jerome said that he already had called the place where he gets that packaged, but as sometimes they do not arrive he said for me to take it and keep.
